Faith Lutheran High School Announces 2021 Hockey Operations Staff

Faith Lutheran High School Athletic Administrator Bret Walter is pleased to announce Stanley Cup champion and Vegas Golden Knights broadcaster Shane Hnidy has joined as the Executive Director of the school’s Hockey program. Bret and Shane share the core belief that it is not the team with the best players that wins, but the players with the best team that ultimately conquers all. Shane’s role as Executive Director is to combine Faith Lutheran’s Spirit and Faith while developing a competitive hockey program which molds the future leaders of tomorrow. Hnidy believes hockey develops character and fosters resilience, leadership, accountability, respect and patience, with these qualities becoming synonymus with Faith Lutheran Hockey. 
 
Further, the Crusaders, as part of the Vegas Junior Golden Knights Hockey Club, are thrilled to announce the hiring of Adam Miller as Head coach and Jordan Van Son as Assistant coach. The duo will oversee the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams at Faith Lutheran High School.

Adam Miller –Head Coach Coach Miller is the Hockey Director at City National Arena, overseeing all aspects of rink programming. Adam also has extensive experience with the Vegas Junior Golden Knights Hockey Club, serving as a Head Coach and Lead Instructor. Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Adam played NCAA DI College Hockey for Ferris State University. Upon graduating, he played as a forward for the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL) where he is the all time points leader in both goals and assists. Miller played another ten seasons professionally throughout Europe and North America before settling in and calling Las Vegas home.

Jordan Van Son-Assistant Coach Jordan has worked as a coach and program coordinator here in Nevada. Before making the move to coaching and instructing, Jordan played three years at Waldorf College where he was an Assistant Captain for his entire collegiate career. At Waldorf, Jordan earned a B.A. in Foundations of Education with a Coaching Endorsement.Jordan was a WCCHA all-star in 2012-13.He played three years with the Montana AAA select team and was also a member of Team Northwest (selects from Montana, Idaho, Washington and Wyoming).
