Academic Support Center

At Faith, we have an Academic Support Center which serves a number of students. Within the Academic Support Center we have Academic Centers, The Resource Department, and a Testing Center Program.

List of 3 items.

  • Academic Centers

At times, students may fall behind or need extra, timely support during school hours. Based on academic performance, the Director of Academic Support assigns students to mandatory academic centers.
  • Resource Program

Students with diagnosed learning disabilities may be eligible for an 80-minute block, every other day, in the resource classroom where they can receive help on assignments, work on homework, finish any tests and quizzes, and work on projects and papers with the help of any educators in the room. Qualification for this program is based on review of a neuropsychological evaluation. Students who qualify will receive a 504 plan, updated yearly.

The Middle School and High School Resource Program is different from a resource room in the public school system. Students in this program are expected to do the same curriculum, at the same pace, without any modifications. The small class sizes in the program ensures that we strive to meet the school’s mission: Everyone Prepared! Everyone Saved!

In addition to a resource block, students in the Resource Program are able to use the Testing Center for assessments. There is a per semester cost* for Resource Program services.
  • Testing Center

The Middle School and High School Testing Center Program offers students a quiet environment for assessments. Qualification for this program is based on review of a neuropsychological evaluation. Students who qualify will receive a 504 plan, updated yearly. There is a per semester cost* for Testing Center services.
