LIBRARY

The mission of the library media program at Faith Lutheran is to provide students and teachers the skills and support they need to successfully use the library as a resource center. Collaboration between the Library Media Specialist and teachers will be an integral part of creating a curriculum based learning environment. We are here to foster, encourage and support students in becoming life-long readers and learners!
Open daily half an hour before school starts to 4:00 P.M on full days and until 12:00 on minimum days unless a school event or meeting is scheduled.

apple distinguished school

Apple Distinguished Schools are K–20 schools that provide 24/7, schoolwide, one-to-one access to Apple notebook computers and/or mobile devices to all students, teachers, and administrators. They demonstrate an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment.

Faith Lutheran Middle School and High School is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2013 to 2015 for creating a flexible learning environment where learning can happen anytime, anywhere.    Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School has 1:1 iPad integration in their Middle School and 1:1 MacBook integration in the High School.

The Apple Distinguished School designation is reserved for programs that meet criteria for innovation, leadership, and educational excellence, and demonstrate Apple’s vision of exemplary learning environments.

Dr. Steve Buuck responded, ”We are honored by this distinction, and I am grateful and amazed at how our faculty and students have embraced technology as a tool to leverage learning in the classroom and beyond.”

The selection of Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School as an Apple Distinguished School highlights our success as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment.  Teachers are using technology to prepare students for their future.  At Faith Lutheran we are continually working on developing innovative teaching and learning techniques whether it be through the incorporation of technology in our 1:1 programs or through the creation of new academic programs.  The administration works hard to put our teachers and students in situations to be successful and innovative.
