NEWSIES AUDITIONS DEC 17-20.
Time to get ready for the next MS Musical!!
There will be a signup outside of my room... portable 58 -- not as cool as Moodle, but crusader connect doesn't work as well. Stop by and sign up-- if you don't we will have a wait line for people that just walk up but this way you can schedule something and not be waiting forever.
Please be advised that Dance Team is the only team that works with us in our rehearsal schedule.  If you are in basketball or cheer, sorry -- we cannot cast you -- you have already made that team.  Track and spring sports don't affect us too much -- but we do get first dibs on your time... ask Mr. Elliott if you need more clarification on this.
PLEASE - make sure your audition form is filled out before you come to the audition. It helps move things along. Mr. Elliott will send them to you if you sign up or if you ask for it.
The schedule for auditions so you know how it works
-Monday (12/17) and Tuesday (12/18) noon -4  - sign up recommended

I will share some prep stuff to those that sign up or email me and ask.

DEVOTIONAL
I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; (Revelation 2:2)
In the Name + of Jesus. Amen. The Book of Revelation starts with letters to seven churches that John would have been familiar with. Each church is commended for something and warned against something. Notice something in Jesus’ words above to the church of Ephesus. They were commended for testing and avoiding the false apostles. In our day and age, it is taught that everyone should get along no matter what they believe. That’s fine for life in the world. But false teaching in the church will bring sin and death.
Never unquestioningly trust your pastor or those who are “leaders” in the church. Rather, test them. Listen to their preaching and read their writings to see whether they deliver Jesus alone for your salvation or if they throw in other things. Is Jesus crucified and risen for you the big deal or is it something else? Are you pointed to your Baptism, Absolution, and the Lord’s Supper or are you pointed to your emotions or outward measures of success?
The Lord gives pastors to His Church to teach us all His Word. To deliver Jesus and His forgiveness. Part of that job is teaching God’s people to know what to listen for. Jesus sends His preachers to preach and teach the Scriptures so that the people will learn them, learn to hear Christ in them, and then test to see whether their pastors are faithfully preaching and teaching Christ.
That preaching and teaching is what saves you, forgives you, and gives you everlasting life. Nothing else will do. So the Lord sends His preacher to you so that you will be given only Jesus, because only Jesus rescues you from sin and death. What is taught by a church and her preacher truly matters. If it’s anything other than Jesus, that’s bad. When it’s Jesus alone and His Word and gifts, it’s life here and life forever. In the Name + of Jesus. Amen.
Once He came in blessing, All our sins redressing; Came in likeness lowly, Son of God most holy; Bore the cross to save us; Hope and freedom gave us. (Once He Came in Blessing, LSB 333:1)
