NEWSIES AUDITIONS DEC 17-20.
Time to get ready for the next MS Musical!!
There will be a signup outside of my room... portable 58 -- not as cool as Moodle, but crusader connect doesn't work as well. Stop by and sign up-- if you don't we will have a wait line for people that just walk up but this way you can schedule something and not be waiting forever.
Please be advised that Dance Team is the only team that works with us in our rehearsal schedule.  If you are in basketball or cheer, sorry -- we cannot cast you -- you have already made that team.  Track and spring sports don't affect us too much -- but we do get first dibs on your time... ask Mr. Elliott if you need more clarification on this.
PLEASE - make sure your audition form is filled out before you come to the audition. It helps move things along. Mr. Elliott will send them to you if you sign up or if you ask for it.
The schedule for auditions so you know how it works
-Monday (12/17) and Tuesday (12/18) noon -4  - sign up recommended

DEVOTIONAL
And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. (Revelation 1:17)
In the Name + of Jesus. Amen. Advent is a good time for reading the book of Revelation. In Advent we hear the preaching of John the Baptist point us to the Lamb of God. The Lamb shows up a lot in Revelation. In Advent we wait and watch for Jesus who is coming again. In Revelation, we hear more about our Lord’s coming again and final victory. And right from the start of the book, as we hear what St. John saw and heard, we hear again that the Lord is all about comfort. John sees Jesus standing there in bright and shining glory and he falls down like he’s dead. And what does Jesus say? “Do not be afraid.”
“Do not be afraid.” That’s what Jesus said whenever there was a storm. Whenever death visited people. Whenever the disciples feared or doubted, Jesus told them not to be afraid. That’s because Jesus didn’t come to make us afraid but to rescue us from our fear—fear of sin, death, devil, hell, the judgment of God. All of it. Do not be afraid. Jesus has paid the price, borne the curse, answered for your sins and taken them all away. He rose from the dead and is the victorious Lamb seen on the throne of glory by St. John in the Book of Revelation. It might look scary but the Lord’s own words drive away such fear: “Do not be afraid.”
When Jesus washed you at the font, it’s as if He was saying to you your whole life, “Do not be afraid.” When you hear the Absolution for your sins, Jesus speaks to you, “Do not be afraid.” When you eat and drink His Body and Blood, “Do not be afraid. I will raise you up on the Last Day.” There are a lot of people out there who are afraid of Jesus because they have sinned or think they haven’t measured up. But Jesus came to forgive sins and therefore He can truly say, “Do not be afraid.”
So do not be afraid. Jesus has died and risen for you. He has washed and fed you. And when He comes again in glory and you fall on your face in fear, He’ll pick you up and tell you also, as He told St. John, “Do not be afraid.” And you never will be again. In the Name + of Jesus. Amen.
Those dear tokens of His passion Still His dazzling body bears, Cause of endless exultation To His ransomed worshipers. With what rapture, with what rapture Gaze we on those glorious scars. (Lo! He Comes with Clouds Descending, LSB 336:3)
