Congratulations on making the team, while keeping those that did not in your prayers. As we said at the end of practice today, these were very difficult decisions. The factors going into the decisions were: Attitude, effort, timeliness, coachability, hustle, doubles positioning knowledge and proper movement, results of the challenge matches, results of the Saturday skill evaluations, and improvement level from Saturday through today. These decisions were not easy, and we make them prayerfully and with the knowledge that God will lead the way. If tennis is not what He has in mind for you this season something else will present itself, even if we cannot see it at this moment. We say a special prayer for those that will not be on the roster this season, that God's grace will give them comfort. 

Everyone that took part is a member of the Crusader Tennis family. As such, if you tried out, were not selected, and are signed up for Tennis PE, and want to stay in Tennis PE, then we will see you in class either Thursday or Friday. If you choose to take a different PE, please let me and your counselor know that, and we will get it switched. 

 

You may notice that there are only 19 Boys listed on the roster. We have another boy attending Faith and hoping to play on the team that was unable to attend tryouts as he is still active in a national event. We are working to determine when/if he will be able to join the team. If he is able, he will take the final spot. If he is unable to make the schedule work, we will move someone up from the Developmental Squad to take the final spot. 

 

Here is the remaining Main Varsity schedule for the week: 

Wednesday, August 6th First Full Practice 3:30pm-5:30pm

Thursday, August 7th - First Day of School - Practice 3pm-5:30pm

Friday, August 8th - Practice 3pm-4:30pm

Saturday, August 9th - Family Fun Night, 6pm-appx 8pm - This DOES count as a practice. (Developmental Squad players are invited and encouraged to attend as well)
