  Two DI Football Commitments

  Faith Lutheran celebrated two Division I Football commitments on Wednesday, December 20th. Caden Chittenden committed to UNLV and will graduate early to begin working out with the team in January.  Clayton McCarrell has signed his letter of intent to Eastern Washington University.  Congratulations to both of these young men and their families!

• 2023 Nevada Preps All Southern Football Teams

  The Review Journal has selected the All-Southern Nevada Football teams for the 2023 season. Congratulations to the Faith Lutheran football athletes for their selections.

• Faith Lutheran powers past Green Valley into state title game

  Faith Lutheran took advantage of its passing game to build a 20-point halftime lead Friday night.

  Running back Cale Breslin put the game away.  Breslin had 17 carries in the second half and broke off a pair of long scoring runs to help the Crusaders finish off a 37-0 home win over Green Valley in the Class 5A Division II Southern League championship game. Read more

• ‘The dream’s alive’: Gators, Crusaders to play for league title

  The Green Valley football team started 0-4 and lost the “Henderson Bowl” to rival Basic, having its five-game winning streak in the game snapped.

  
  A double-digit home loss to Foothill gave Faith Lutheran the short end of the stick in a three-way tie atop the Class 5A Division II Southern League standings.

   

  After Friday night, none of those things will be remembered. Both teams are still fighting for the 5A Division II state title after pulling off road upsets. Read more

• Faith Lutheran rallies from 17 down to stun Basic in OT

  Kickers seldom get the glory in high school football. But most high school kickers don’t have the leg of Faith Lutheran’s Caden Chittenden. Chittenden banged home a 57-yard field goal to tie the game with 1:50 left in regulation, and the Crusaders tipped a pass on Basic’s 2-point conversion attempt in overtime to rally from 17 points down to secure a 24-23 road win Thursday over the Wolves.  Read more
