  • GIRLS BASKETBALL: Faith Lutheran tops Legacy, earns No. 2 seed

    Casey Proctor scored 12 points on Thursday night to lead the Faith Lutheran girls basketball team to a 42-26 road victory over Legacy. The win clinched the Northwest League’s No. 2 playoff seed for the Crusaders. Both Faith Lutheran and Legacy finished 8-4 in the league, but Faith Lutheran swept the two head-to-head matchups.
    Madison Bocobo added nine points for Faith Lutheran, which blew the game open by outscoring Legacy 18-5 in the third quarter. Rory Carter scored seven points to lead the Longhorns.

  • WRESTLING: Faith Lutheran earns first victory over Palo Verde


    Faith Lutheran’s Dominic Paulos and Connor Bourne each needed less than a minute to record pin-fall victories and help clinch the Crusaders’ 39-35 victory visiting Palo Verde on Tuesday. Paulos pinned his opponent in 42 seconds at 170 pounds, while Bourne needed 49 seconds to earn the victory at 182.
    Kile Driscoll (106), Gabriel Rodriguez (113), Peter Enos (145) and Jonathan Bricker (160) also won by fall for Faith Lutheran, which beat the Panthers in a dual match for the first time in school history.  Dominick Uzzardo won by pin at 138 pounds for Palo Verde, which also got major decisions from Chandler Hall (132) and John Carpenter (195).

  • BOYS BASKETBALL: Nic Maccioni helps Faith Lutheran coach Bret Walter win 300th career game

    Nic Maccioni had 26 points, and Faith Lutheran’s boys basketball team pulled away in the second half for a 77-55 home victory over Legacy on Wednesday.
    It was the 300th career victory for Crusaders coach Bret Walter, who is 300-225 in his 20th season at the school.

    Connor Nichols and Brevin Walter each scored 14 points for Faith Lutheran.
    The Crusaders outscored Legacy 24-11 in the third quarter to extend a 37-31 halftime lead.

    Chris White had 12 points, and D’Eric Marlowe added 11 points for the Longhorns.

    Bry collected a double-double against conference opponent Shadow Ridge with 24 points and 14 rebounds. She spurred the crusaders to a halftime lead scoring 12 points in the second quarter. She went 6 for 7 form the FT line and added 4 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks.

Tradition of Excellence

Faith Lutheran boasts a proud tradition in athletics. Our teams have earned 42 State Championships and 33 State Runner-Up banners in our school’s history. We have won the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association’s Award of Excellence in Academics, Athletics, and Citizenship an impressive six times. Currently, former Crusader athletes can be found on teams at The Naval Academy, USC, University of Kansas, Auburn, LSU, Duke, Boise State, Princeton, University of Minnesota, Northern Arizona, Denver University and Concordia University to name a few. Our athletics program is constantly growing and improving, boasting a state of the art strength and conditioning center to help our hundreds of student athletes accomplish even more.
