Crusaders - In New Gold Uniforms - Post Two Wins vs Roy Martin
Both teams played their most complete match of the season in defeating Roy Martin by twin 5-0 scores to complete a successful week.
The Girls were led by the singles trio of Lina, Summer and Mia B, who each controlled the action and staked the Crusaders to a lead. The doubles duos of Kai/Brooklyn and Taylor/Elyssa also played quite well - and it was great to see Taylor back on the court as she has been recovering from an injury. Jade/Rachel and Mia T/Maryn also played Bonus matches, and both produced wins. With today's result the Girls improved to 3-0 on the season, tied for first in the RRAC and is looking forward to two matches next week - Tuesday vs rival The Meadows and Wednesday in the Crusader Clash against the B Team.
The Boys had close matches the first couple of outings this season and to their credit pulled each out. Today there was not quite as much drama, as Faith controlled things throughout. James moved to doubles today and teamed with Zane Kelly for a 6-0 win. That moved Sam up to the #1 singles position and he responded well, posting a 6-0 win of his own. Josiah won 6-0 at 2nd singles, and Parker continued the winning ways with a 6-1 win at third single. The 2nd doubles post was manned by the combination of Arnav and Ryan, and they got a 6-1 victory to complete the Crusader sweep. We had some Bonus matches and the combos of Sergio/Jaxon and Zane/Ryan each got wins, the latter in a very competitive match. With today's result the Boysimproved to 3-0 on the season, tied for first in the RRAC and is looking forward to two matches next week - Tuesday vs rival and defending conference champ The Meadows and Wednesday in the Crusader Clash against the B Team.
