Faith Lutheran 2017 High School Tennis Roster
Thank you to everyone that tried out for the Tennis Team this fall. Roster decisions are very difficult, and the coaching staff spends a great deal of time finalizing the roster. Unfortunately, we cannot keep everyone, as this is a Varsity sport and we are competing at the highest division in the state. The criteria for making the final decisions comes from a combination of racket skill (groundstrokes, volleys, overheads), proper positioning, serving, competitiveness, effort, and levels of/potential for improvement. As we have done in the past, we are happy to communicate with folks that were not chosen for the team this year, and give them some things to work on for the upcoming year if they choose to try out again. Tennis is a lifetime sport, and it is our prayer that, regardless of the outcome today, that everyone will continue on with the sport that we enjoy so much. You are all so talented in so many ways, and if you are not with us this year that means that God is opening another door for you.
