Faith Stymies Spartans, Defeats Cimarron Memorial by 15-3 and 13-5 Scores

Faith traveled to Cimarron and notched a pair of wins, as the Boys won 15-3 and the Girls prevailed by a 13-5 count. A lot of different combinations were used and many got experience in different spots, so it was a winning day as well as a learning experience.

For the Girls, five players got the first starting assignments of their High School careers, with Isabelle Cottingham, Sophia Smith, Aliyah Perry, Ireland Otto and Greer DeBoni getting the call. Isabelle , Ashley and Hannah Namking each got to play two singles matches on the day, and all three impressively went 2-0! It was great to see them step up, play well, and have excellent results.  Also getting doubles wins on the day were Kelsie/Courtney, Chloe/Eylse, Sophia/Aliyah, and Ireland/Naja, while Summer, Jade and Kennedy each won their lone singles match against the CMHS #1 singles player.

For the Boys, Jonah Grepke had perhaps his best day as a Crusader, as he went 3-0 including two hard fought matches against the Spartan #1 and #2 players.  Sam Hertig moved to singles for the day and went 2-0, Kevin Zhang and Juno Suwanduan each got a singles win, and at doubles the starting duos of Blake Kelly/Chris Bangan and "Alex Squared" (Brodsky and Triantaphyllou) also got wins. Chris got another win as well in the third round, teaming up with Taylor.

It was a good effort and by all and got the team ready to go in their upcoming match against perennial power Palo Verde.
