Coach Merrill took over the head coaching duties of the Faith Lutheran Boy's Soccer team in the fall of 2020. He has been working at Faith Lutheran since 2019. During this time he has taught high school math and middle school physical education. He has also been the 6th grade head coach for soccer and the head coach for the high school JV boys soccer team. He has experience coaching with youth club soccer teams and soccer camps in Las Vegas.
Prior to Faith Lutheran, Coach Merrill attended Concordia University Irvine, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, a teaching credential in Mathematics, and a minor in Coaching. He also played NCAA Division II soccer at Concordia.
Coach Merrill’s goal is to develop players into Christ-centered leaders who are committed to excellence on the soccer field, in the classroom, and in life. Soccer is an amazing sport, and he hopes to use soccer to foster growth and development in his players.
Cameron is a 2014 Faith Lutheran graduate. During his time at Faith Lutheran, he was a four year letter-winner in the boys soccer program and also participated in club soccer.
