  • Bob Chinn hired as Faith Lutheran's new girl's Soccer coach

    Faith Lutheran High School Athletic department names Bob Chinn the new head women’s soccer coach for the 2019-20 school year.  Bob has been with and has been passionate about the Faith Lutheran women’s soccer program for the past 9 years.  He's served as the high school assistant coach and has also coached in the middle school program during that time.  Athletic Administrator, Bret Walter said, "We're very excited to have someone like Coach Chinn as our Head Coach.  He's a high character Christian man who absolutely loves our program and players.  He will put together a great staff and our program will continue to move forward under his leadership." 
     
    Bob brings in 25 years of experience coaching soccer.  He's coached at all levels, ranging from middle school to adults, and has coached in the school and the club system.
     
    Bob brings in a vast array of professional leadership experience from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, where he served on the force for 30 years and was involved in high management positions for Metro.  He also has served as President of the Southern Nevada Police Athletic League as well as the Silver State Girl’s Soccer League.  He currently holds NSCAA National Coaches License and a US Soccer National D License.

    Great Day for Faith Lutheran Athletics

    Faith Lutheran High School saw 7 athletes sign or commit to their respective colleges and universities during their largest signing event to date.  The schools range from Division III to Division I and included the sports of baseball, football, soccer, volleyball and wrestling.  The following athletes that made their athletic commitments today are, Jake Ortega-UNLV (baseball), Greg Oliver-Portland State (football), Sebastian Burke-University of San Diego (football), Kyrie Lorfing-Columbia University (volleyball), Kadyn Lane-Concordia Nebraska (soccer), Carson Cook-Concordia Wisconsin (wrestling) and Gabe Rodriguez-Concordia Wisconsin (wrestling).  Faith Lutheran currently has 15 athletes that have committed to play at the collegiate level.  Congratulations to all these young men and women and their families.
  • Four More Crusaders Commit to Respective Colleges

    Faith Lutheran High School Athletics announces four athletes committing to their respective colleges and sports for next fall.  Maddie Stenslie, girl's soccer, has commited to play at Oklahoma University in Norman, OK.  Anthony Hibler, boy's lacrosse, had made his commitment to North Central College in Naperville, IL.  Connor Bourne, wrestling, will begin his collegiate career at American University in Washington D.C.  Alexi Johnson, girl's track, has committed to New Mexico State University.  Congratulations to all these athletes and their parents!  Go Crusaders!
  • Coronado outlasts Faith Lutheran in state quarterfinals

    It may not have been a runaway victory, but that was just fine with Coronado girls soccer coach Dana Neel.
    After all, 2-1 gets you to the semifinals, too. The Cougars held on for that 2-1 victory over host Faith Lutheran in the Class 4A state quarterfinals on Thursday, earning a semifinal matchup against Northern Region champion Galena.  READ ARTICLE
  • Bishop Gorman holds off Faith Lutheran for Southern Nevada soccer crown

    Bishop Gorman’s girls soccer team built a 3-0 lead and looked to be cruising in the Southern Nevada Championship game at Rancho.

  • Roundup: Madison Sonerholm’s goal gives Faith Lutheran win over Arbor View

    Madison Sonerholm scored with just more than nine minutes to play Wednesday to give Faith Lutheran’s girls soccer team a 1-0 road win over Arbor View.
    Maggie Shuirman assisted on the winning goal for the Crusaders, who remained undefeated (11-0) in the Mountain League.  Jordan Brown made five saves to earn the shutout.
  • Roundup: Jordan Brown locks down shutout for Faith Lutheran

    Faith Lutheran’s Jordan Brown made six saves Monday to help the Crusaders to a 1-0 home girls soccer win over Shadow Ridge.
    Maggie Shuirman scored Faith Lutheran’s goal on a corner kick in the fourth minute.
  • Roundup: Faith Lutheran wins two in Reno

    Riley Divich scored a pair of goals to lift the Faith Lutheran’s girls soccer team a 4-1 win over McQueen for its to its second victory Friday afternoon in the Howell Memorial Tournament in Reno. Maggie Shuirman and Ameila McManus added goals for Faith Lutheran.  Madison Sonerholm had two assists for the Crusaders.

    Faith Lutheran 10, Sparks 1 — At Reno, Shuirman had four goals to help the Crusaders to a blowout victory in the Howell Memorial Tournament.  Sonherholm, Divich, Zoie Abdo, Taylor Day and Adi Radwanski all scored a goal for Faith Lutheran.  Gronauer and Day each had two assists.
