    Crusader Student-Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

    It's a great day to be a Crusader!  Faith Lutheran athletics announces 6 more athletes heading to the collegiate level to compete in their respective sports.  They are Hailey Carroll-Montana State at Billings (volleyball), Kayla Proctor-Taft College in California (basketball), Zach Abdo-Richmond International Academic & Soccer Academy England (soccer), Nick Murphy-High Point University in North Carolina (lacrosse), Brian Kaiserman-NYU (track & field) and Genevieve Hazel-Concordia Wisconsin (track & field).  Congratulations to all these student-athletes and their families for their acomplishments.
  • Roundup: Faith Lutheran tops Silverado

    Kelsey Howryla scored 13 points Saturday to lead Faith Lutheran’s girls basketball team to a 49-38 road victory over Silverado.
    Quianna Brown added 10 points for Faith Lutheran, which led 27-17 at the half.
    Tatyahna Cannon paced Silverado with 13 points.
  • Roundup: Faith Lutheran tops Palo Verde in overtime

    Skye Landaz hit a 3-pointer with less than 10 seconds to go in overtime to give Faith Lutheran’s girls basketball team a 51-49 road win over Palo Verde on Tuesday.  Quianna Brown had 15 points, and Kelsey Howryla had 11 points for the Crusaders.

    Alyssa Maillaro led Palo Verde with 19 points, and teammate Carissa Salazar scored 12 points.

  • Roundup: Faith Lutheran rides balanced effort to win over Bonanza

    Kayla Proctor scored 10 points Friday to lead Faith Lutheran’s girls basketball team to a 54-28 home win over Bonanza.
    Lili Arnold scored nine points for the Crusaders, who led 25-5 at halftime and remained 1½ games behind Centennial for first place in the Northwest League.
    Macyn Raleigh scored 15 points to lead the Bengals.
  • Roundup: Faith Lutheran fends off Shadow Ridge in overtime

    Taylor Etopio scored 17 points, and Faith Lutheran’s girls basketball team went 8-for-8 from the free-throw line in the final four minutes to score a 53-49 overtime victory against visiting Shadow Ridge on Thursday night. Kelsey Howryla had eight points for the Crusaders, who were 24-for-34 on free throws overall.

    Vashay Young scored 14 points, and teammates Nadia Morales and Jamia Carter each added 11 points for the Mustangs.
  • Roundup: Balanced Crusaders open Nike tournament with victory

    Skye Landaz led a balanced attack with 10 points Wednesday as Faith Lutheran’s girls basketball team downed Queen Creek (Ariz.), 40-28 in the opening round of the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix.  Quianna Brown added nine points for the Crusaders.

    Hayley Dibona paced the Bulldogs with 11 points.
  • Faith Lutheran girls rally to top Palo Verde, 50-47

    Faith Lutheran’s Kelsey Howryla had 12 rebounds Thursday night, but the biggest came with 1:14 to play. Howryla rebounded her own miss, was fouled and made two free throws to give the Crusaders the lead, and they held on for a 50-47 home win over Palo Verde. “I think she was mad at herself for missing the layup,” Faith Lutheran coach Jennifer Karner said. “So she just went back to battle.  READ ARTICLE
  • Roundup: Faith Lutheran rallies to top Green Valley

    Taylor Etopio scored 13 points on Tuesday to lead Faith Lutheran’s girls basketball team to a 54-48 home win over Green Valley.
    Kayla Proctor added 11 points for the Crusaders, who trailed 35-34 after three quarters. Amore Espino led the Gators with 16 points.

    Outlook:
    Proctor (10.9 points, 5.9 rebounds per game) and Howryla (5.6 ppg, 4.3 rpg) will be among those leading a squad that has some holes to fill as only one starter returns. “The Crusaders are young but talented,” Karner said. “This season will be a season to watch that talent grow.
    “Expect speed, determination, and all around heart from each player as they look to attack any challenge presented to them on the court.”
