Girls Cross Country: State Champs!

The Faith Lutheran girls cross country team captured the 2025 Class 5A state team title at Rancho San Rafael Park, finishing with 82 points to edge out Carson and Sky Pointe in a tightly contested championship race. The victory marks the fifth state title in program history and the first since 2001.

Faith Lutheran’s success was driven by depth, discipline, and strong pack running, with three athletes finishing in the top 20 - Scarlett Cotrone (‘27), Sophie Weisz (‘27), and Jenna Anderson (‘28). Head coach Jeff Edwards praised the group’s determination, tight-knit chemistry, and competitive mindset, noting that after a tough third-place finish at regionals, the team showed up determined to rewrite the ending.
