Girls Soccer: Back-to-Back State Champs!
Faith Lutheran girls soccer secured the 2025 Class 5A state championship with a 1-0 overtime win against Coronado, earning back-to-back titles and the program’s fourth championship in six tournaments. In a defensive battle that stayed scoreless through regulation, the Crusaders stayed composed, continued to control possession, and created multiple scoring opportunities while maintaining a strong back line.
Their persistence paid off in overtime, where consistent pressure led to a drawn foul in the box and a successful penalty kick to clinch the golden-goal victory. With five key saves to preserve the shutout and a team-wide commitment to discipline and belief, the Crusaders finished the season with another history-making moment for the program.
