How to Apply

Step 1: Submit the Application

Step 2: Review & Complete Application Checklist Items

  • Required documents will be submitted in 2 sections. 

    • Phase 1:

      • Birth Certificate

      • Most Recent Standardized Testing Scores: if unavailable, students may be asked to complete an admissions test

      • Past Report Cards: Unofficial Transcript or Report Card for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years

    • Phase 2:

      • Submit Evaluation Requests! 

      • Please note that these are not traditional recommendation letter requests. Rather an evaluation form will be submitted through our website to the proper person. Submit the name and email of a current administrator (Principal, VP, counselor, or Dean) and your child’s current English teacher and a confidential form will be emailed to them.

    This step will be available after 10/9/2026, or immediately if the application is submitted after that date.
    International applicants and students with academic resource needs may have additional checklist items. See criteria listed below.

Step 3: Apply for Tuition Assistance (Optional)

  • Application opens January 1 

  • Need-based financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis after 3-4 week review process

  • Pro Tip: Start your Financial Aid Application early so you receive your admissions decision and financial aid award letter in the same time frame.

Step 4: Schedule Your Interview

  • Completed applicant checklists reviewed by admissions committee

  • Qualified applications invited to interview

  • Notifications to schedule interviews sent out second week of January

Step 5: Acceptance & Registration

  • Notifications for acceptance will be emailed mid to late February

  • 14 days from acceptance to sign contract and pay $1,200 registration fee 

  • Submit Immunization Record and Student Health Information Form 

  • Students complete a math and English placement test on campus late April/early May

  • We are so excited to have international students from all over the world attend Faith Lutheran.  We value the unique perspectives that the students bring and how it enriches our community here at our school and in Las Vegas.  It is our goal to provide our international students with a supportive and holistic learning environment that prepares them for whatever the future holds.  Faith Lutheran offers over 50 different Honors and Advanced Placement courses as well as opportunities in athletics, fine arts, and clubs and organizations.  With support, students are guided through the middle school and high school experience in a personal and caring way.     Gather documents such as the birth certificate, immunization records, copy of most recent transcripts for the past three years, and test scores (all documents must be translated and notarized if applicable).  Send Faith provided recommendation forms to administrators and teachers from checklist.

    Admissions Testing will be required at the discretion of the Admissions Team. Typically a student with Ds or Fs on the transcript will be required to take an entrance exam. A Math Placement Exam is required and will be emailed to students out of the country.  The prospective family will be notified about required testing once a transcript is submitted.

    One of the following English Proficiency Testing must be submitted:

    • TOEFL iBT- minimum score of 60 or higher

    • TOEFL Jr- minimum score of 700 for MS and 780 for HS

    • TOEFL Essential Online- minimum score of 8-8.5

    • Duolingo English Test- minimum of 80 for MS and 90 for HS

    High School students should be at the CEFR B2 level, approaching B1 or higher.  Middle School students should be approaching B2 in all categories, but especially in Reading.  Please contact Admissions at Admissions@FLHSemail.org if your student has a lower score.

FAQ’s

Admissions Timeline

  • No! Our applications are not numbered! Rather, we evaluate each student’s file to see if they would be a fit for Faith Lutheran. Grades, Recommendation Forms, and a Candidate are considered. We recommend starting the application process during the Fall of the year prior to the school year you are interested in. 

  • New Student Applications for the 2027-28 school year will close Friday, January 29, 2027. Rolling applications will be accepted after that point if space allows or if a family is moving to the Las Vegas Area. 

  • Students who have completed the admissions process should expect a candidate decision by Mid-February. Every student who completes the process will receive an Admissions Decision (Accepted/Denied/Waiting Pool).  

  • Please make sure that every text box is filled out, even if it is an n/a or none. Additionally, please double check that you uploaded a photo of your child. Still having issues? Please give our office a call at 702-804-4413.

  • Please upload your student's most recent report card available at the time you submit your application (typically the first-quarter report card). If additional records are needed later in the admissions process, our Admissions Office will contact you.

  • No. The application fee is non-refundable.

  • Documents should be uploaded as PDF files whenever possible. We also accept clear, legible image files (JPG or PNG).

  • The placement assessment takes place after a student’s acceptance and is used primarily to help determine appropriate course placement and identify areas where a student may need additional support or academic challenge.

    • Refreshing the page.

    • Trying a different web browser.

    • Clearing your browser's cache and cookies.

    • Using a desktop or laptop computer instead of a mobile device.

    • Ensuring your internet connection is stable.

  • If more than one educator is sent the Evaluation form at the same time, the link may become disabled. Please try resending the request through your Crusader Connect checklist and verify that the educator’s email address is correct.

  • A character reference should come from a non-family member who knows your student well and can speak to their character, integrity, and personal qualities.

Admissions Process

Tuition & Fees

  • What is the cost of tuition? 

    Tuition for the 2026-2027 Year (Annual):       $17,100Tuition for the 2026-2027 Year (Monthly):    $1,710.00

    Tuition Payments are due July-April according to the family’s chosen payment plan (annual, semester, or monthly). Tuition and fees are subject to change each year.

    Enrollment Fee (non-refundable): $1,000Due at enrollment.  For more details, please refer to the Financial Policies document. If the enrollment fee is not paid within 14 days of acceptance (as applicable), the student’s offer of admission may be rescinded and given to a student in the waiting pool.

    Application Fee (non-refundable): $100Due at the time of application.

    Textbooks, Uniforms, and Program Fees Families are responsible for purchasing textbooks each year. Book fees vary and are typically dependent on the student’s grade level and individual class selection.  Uniforms can be purchased through The Shield located on campus and The Faith Lutheran Thrift Store.

  • Yes! Families with more than one student enrolled at Faith Lutheran receive a discounted $700 enrollment fee for each additional student.

  • Yes! Financial assistance is available to qualifying families through our financial aid program. Please note that the max Financial Aid award is up to 50% of the tuition cost.
