How to Apply

Step 1: Submit the Application

  • 2026-2027 Application Open Date: September 8, 2025 - click apply on our main menu!

  • Our admissions phone and email inbox are monitored 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Step 2: Review & Complete Application Checklist Items

  • Birth Certificate

  • Most Recent Standardized Testing Scores: if unavailable, students may be asked to complete an admissions test

  • Report Cards: previous two school years and current school year to be submitted after October 10 

  • Administrator and Teacher Recommendation Forms

    • Not traditional letter format

    • Submit name and email of a current administrator (Principal, VP, counselor, or Dean) and your child’s current English teacher and a confidential form will be emailed to them

    • Recommendations should not be requested until after October 10

  • Character Reference: optional and encouraged, same submission process as recommendations, can be submitted anytime

International applicants and students with academic resource needs may have additional checklist items. See criteria listed below.

Step 3: Apply for Tuition Assistance (Optional)

  • Application opens January 1 

  • Need-based financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis after 3-4 week review process

  • Pro Tip: Start your Financial Aid Application early so you receive your admissions decision and financial aid award letter in the same time frame.

Step 4: Schedule Your Interview

  • Completed applicant checklists reviewed by admissions committee

  • Qualified applications invited to interview

  • Notifications to schedule interviews sent out second week of January

Step 5: Acceptance & Registration

  • Notifications for acceptance will be emailed mid to late February

  • 14 days from acceptance to sign contract and pay $1,000 registration fee 

  • Submit Immunization Record and Student Health Information Form 

  • Students complete a math and English placement test on campus late April/early May

    • Please note: Faith Lutheran does not accept senior transfers from local schools.

    • All past and current financial obligations to prior schools must be cleared before admission for transferring students. 

    • Applications may be stopped if criteria are not met; families will be notified and may re-apply once eligible.

  • We are so excited to have international students from all over the world attend Faith Lutheran.  We value the unique perspectives that the students bring and how it enriches our community here at our school and in Las Vegas.  It is our goal to provide our international students with a supportive and holistic learning environment that prepares them for whatever the future holds.  Faith Lutheran offers over 50 different Honors and Advanced Placement courses as well as opportunities in athletics, fine arts, and clubs and organizations.  With support, students are guided through the middle school and high school experience in a personal and caring way.     Gather documents such as the birth certificate, immunization records, copy of most recent transcripts for the past three years, and test scores (all documents must be translated and notarized if applicable).  Send Faith provided recommendation forms to administrators and teachers from checklist.

    Admissions Testing will be required at the discretion of the Admissions Team. Typically a student with Ds or Fs on the transcript will be required to take an entrance exam. A Math Placement Exam is required and will be emailed to students out of the country.  The prospective family will be notified about required testing once a transcript is submitted.

    One of the following English Proficiency Testing must be submitted:

    • TOEFL iBT- minimum score of 60 or higher 

    • TOEFL Jr- minimum score of 700 for MS and 780 for HS
      TOEFL Essential Online- minimum score of 8-8.5

    • Duolingo English Test- minimum of 55 for MS and 85 for HS

    High School students should be at the CEFR B2 level, approaching B1 or higher.  Middle School students should be approaching B2 in all categories, but especially in Reading.  Please contact Admissions at Admissions@FLHSemail.org if your student has a lower score.
