Service Hours needed? The mission of the Miracle League of Las Vegas is to provide children and adults with cognitive and/or physical challenges in the greater Las Vegas community the opportunity to play baseball and soccer in a safe and nurturing environment. We offer an annual basketball camp and tennis camp as well. Our League is not possible without our VOLUNTEERS! One of our most valuable volunteers is our Player Buddy. The Buddy assists an assigned player in playing their game, both at-bat and in the field. Players are paired with a "Buddy", the Buddy is then with the player the entire game. You won't believe how much fun this can be, and how much it means to our athletes to have a new friend to share the game with! Our Buddies come from all sectors of the community. Please sign up for shifts at www.miracleleaguelasvegas.com Saturday, September 27th, October 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, and November 1st, 8th, and 15th. All completed physicals must be uploaded into Aktivate for approval. --If your athlete’s physical expires before or during their season, they will not be allowed to try out for a team.
Example: Your child is trying out for a fall sport, your previously completed physical was done on 11/10/24. The physical is expired as of 11/10/25. This is a friendly reminder that you must have a case on your laptop as per school policy. The IT department has seen a substantial increase in damaged devices due to accidents compared to last year. If your computer is damaged and does not have a case on it, you will be charged the full price of the repair! The cost of the repair usually runs around $400 to $500 though this depends on the extent of the damage to the laptop. However, if you have a case on your laptop, you will only be charged $100 for the repair, barring certain circumstances. Of course, the best course of action is to be extra careful with the laptop that the school has assigned to you; please do not be careless with your laptop, such as grabbing it by the screen while it is open. We understand that as we get closer to the end of the school year, things can become hectic but we ask that you please maintain your laptop so that it can also survive! If you have any questions or concerns regarding the case you should use or anything else tech related, please do not hesitate to stop by the IT department. HS

Notice of Credit Card Surcharge Change We want to let you know about an upcoming change to how we process credit card payments in-school. Beginning November 1, 2025, a 3.0% surcharge will be added to all transactions paid with a credit card. This change helps us offset the rising costs of credit card acceptance. The surcharge is not greater than our cost of acceptance and complies with card brand rules and applicable laws.
Please note:
No surcharge will apply to payments made with debit cards, prepaid cards, cash, or checks.
The surcharge will appear as a separate line item on your receipt.
Clear signage will be posted at our point of sale as required.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions about this change or would like to discuss alternative payment methods, please reach out to us at studentbilling@flhsemail.org. (11/21), MS & HS
Please note the change in drop off times! All deliveries for students will go to the back of the school. Items dropped off by parents will be accepted beginning at 8:30am until 1:30pm by The Shield warehouse green gate. A sign on the gate will provide instructions to obtain access to the rack for items. Parents will be able to place their student’s items on the rack that can be accessed by the student via the Student Center. We will not be responsible for monitoring or securing any item on the rack. This includes phones, computer devices, musical instruments, or homework. Thank you for understanding!
3 Facts your attendance office wants you to know about checking out of school early:
All students who are leaving early must check out at the front desk. Students who are driving themselves will be issued a pass for the parking lot.
All students still need to come to the front office to get a paper pass at the beginning of the day or in between classes if they are leaving during a class.
When a parent enters an early dismissal on VisitU for a student, it does not check the student out. It does not notify the teacher. It does not do anything other than give the student permission to check out.
