2020 Crusader Volleyball Team Earns Nat'l Academic Award
The 2020 FLHS Varsity Volleyball team earned the AVCA Nat'l Team Academic Award. This is the 16th consecutive year the Crusaders have achieved this honor from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. The varsity team maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.42 over the course of the 2020-21 school year.
The United State Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced that 1,275 collegiate and high school teams have earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2020-2021 season. The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale.
