At Faith Lutheran High School, we have been blessed to provide devices for students to use while at Faith and to offer them, upon graduation, to students that have been here for the full 4 years. We also allowed seniors who have been here for less than 4 years to purchase the school’s laptop. This will be changing this year.
This year Apple has changed the MacBook Air line up and because of these changes we  will need to modify expectations on the way we sell MacBook Air to seniors.
In the past, seniors could purchase their laptops if they had been at faith less than 4 years. Students that have been with Faith the full four years were given the school’s laptop at no cost. This has been changed.
We need to make sure we can support all the future classes of students and the changes we will make to sell laptops will be that we will not sell laptops to students that have been here less than 3 years. If you have been here 3 years or more and less than the full 4 years, the laptop can be purchased for $300 (unless that device is a newer model than what was originally assigned which may be more). Laptops, if found damaged, will incur fees to repair.
We also must state that future offerings to students that are here less than the full 4 years is not a guarantee. We may have to restrict this more in the future.
If you are not a senior completing your full four years and are not returning to Faith, we will not sell the school’s laptop to you.

DEVOTIONAL
7. Who is Christ? The Son of God, true God and man.
8. How many Gods are there? Only one, but there are three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (The Small Catechism: Christian Questions 7-8)
In the Name + of Jesus. Amen. Dr. Luther’s questions remind us of two important truths about Christianity. The first is that Jesus is true God and true man. The second truth is that God is Triune: He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To be saved, you must hold to both these truths!
Jesus is true God to save you. He is true man to save you. He had to be both to save you. He didn’t have to be true God or true man for Himself. There was simply no way other way to save you. So Jesus is true God and true man because that’s what we need Him to be for us to be saved.
We need Jesus to be true God and live before God perfectly. We need Him to live and do every single word of the holy Law of God. We need Him to love God with His whole heart and to love His neighbor as Himself. We need Him to be as perfect as His Father in heaven is perfect. We need Him to count His holy life as our holy life and to make His righteousness our righteousness. Only God can do this! That’s why Jesus is true God.
We need Jesus to be true man so that He can suffer for our sins. We need Him to take upon Himself every Law that we have broken and be punished for every sin we have—both of commission and omission. We need Jesus to be crucified and die for the sin we are born with and the sins we actually do. We need Him to suffer for every sin ever committed for all time. Only a man can die for us. We need Jesus to be true man.
Finally, to be saved, we must believe this truth: There is one God in Three Persons. The Father is God. The Son is God. The Spirit is God. We don’t have three gods but one God.
God the Father, who created all things, loved us in the giving up of His Son. God’s Son was born of a woman, under the Law, to redeem us from the Law, so we might receive the inheritance as sons (Galatians 4:4). Jesus is very God of very God and is sent to die for us. God the Holy Spirit has made that Gospel known to us in Word and Sacrament. The Spirit delivers the salvation achieved by Jesus on the Cross.
These truths, confessed from the Scriptures and taught to you by your parents and pastors, are fundamentals of our faith: Jesus is true God and true man to save us. God is one God, Three Persons. He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the Name + of Jesus. Amen.
