At Faith Lutheran High School, we have been blessed to provide devices for students to use while at Faith and to offer them, upon graduation, to students that have been here for the full 4 years. We also allowed seniors who have been here for less than 4 years to purchase the school’s laptop. This will be changing this year.
This year Apple has changed the MacBook Air line up and because of these changes we  will need to modify expectations on the way we sell MacBook Air to seniors.
In the past, seniors could purchase their laptops if they had been at faith less than 4 years. Students that have been with Faith the full four years were given the school’s laptop at no cost. This has been changed.
We need to make sure we can support all the future classes of students and the changes we will make to sell laptops will be that we will not sell laptops to students that have been here less than 3 years. If you have been here 3 years or more and less than the full 4 years, the laptop can be purchased for $300 (unless that device is a newer model than what was originally assigned which may be more). Laptops, if found damaged, will incur fees to repair.
We also must state that future offerings to students that are here less than the full 4 years is not a guarantee. We may have to restrict this more in the future.
If you are not a senior completing your full four years and are not returning to Faith, we will not sell the school’s laptop to you.

DEVOTIONAL
Today’s Reading: Luke 1:26-38
Daily Lectionary: Genesis 29:1-30; Mark 9:14-32
For nothing will be impossible with God. (Luke 1:37)
In the Name + of Jesus. Amen. The angel Gabriel spoke a word from God. That word seemed impossible. In fact, if anyone else was speaking that Word other than God, we’d find it crazy. Virgins by definition can’t get pregnant. They don’t “know” a man yet. Mary was a virgin. Therefore, the logic is easy for this one: Mary can’t be pregnant.
The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God” (Luke 2:35).
Impossible! That’s just impossible! How can God do such a thing? How does He become flesh? How can God be born?
When God speaks a Word, He does that Word. When He makes a promise, He fulfills that promise. It could be an impossible word. It could be a ludicrous word. He speaks. It happens.
“Let there be light.” There was light. “Let us make man in our image.” He made man in His image. “The Virgin shall conceive and bear a Son and you shall call His name Immanuel.” And it happened in the womb of the blessed Virgin Mary.
So when you look at your life and think to yourself, “God can’t forgive me for what I have done,” don’t let doubt make you not hear His impossible-sounding Word. All words are possible with God, including this one: “No words are impossible with God.”
This Baby, conceived on this day nine months before Christmas, was born for you. He lived His life for you. He went through Lent, suffering, and death for you. He died on the Cross to save you.
Preposterous! Impossible! That can’t be! Yet God promised it and it happened. Since Jesus suffered and died for your sins, then you must be saved. In Jesus, you can’t not be saved! No words are impossible with God.
Repent of your sins! Whether you feel sinful or not doesn’t matter. God’s Word says that you are a sinner. You do real sins—just read the Ten Commandments.
Don’t stop there! Trust God’s Word. Your sins, all of them, are forgiven because of Jesus’ Good Friday for you. Faith which flows from the Word trusts God’s promises and you are saved. Believe these Good Words for Jesus’ sake! In the Name + of Jesus. Amen.
And Mary said, “Behold, I am the Lord’s servant; let it be to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38a)
