At Faith Lutheran High School, we have been blessed to provide devices for students to use while at Faith and to offer them, upon graduation, to students that have been here for the full 4 years. We also allowed seniors who have been here for less than 4 years to purchase the school’s laptop. This will be changing this year.
This year Apple has changed the MacBook Air line up and because of these changes wewill need to modify expectations on the way we sell MacBook Air to seniors.
In the past, seniors could purchase their laptops if they had been at faith less than 4 years. Students that have been with Faith the full four years were given the school’s laptop at no cost. This has been changed.
We need to make sure we can support all the future classes of students and the changes we will make to sell laptops will be that we will not sell laptops to students that have been here less than 3 years. If you have been here 3 years or more and less than the full 4 years, the laptop can be purchased for $300 (unless that device is a newer model than what was originally assigned which may be more). Laptops, if found damaged, will incur fees to repair.
We also must state that future offerings to students that are here less than the full 4 years is not a guarantee. We may have to restrict this more in the future.
If you are not a senior completing your full four years and are not returning to Faith, we will not sell the school’s laptop to you.

COMMUNITY CRUSADER SERVICE HOURS OPPORTUNITY:
Love Never Fails is looking for high school student volunteers. Volunteer opportunities include set-up, greeting guests, attending tables, serving food, explaining special events, and cleaning up. This event will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019.
Volunteers would be needed to set-up tables from 7:00-8:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2019. For the event on March 16th, volunteers are needed from 1:00-3:00 pm (event preparation), 5:00-9:00 pm (event service), and from 7:30-10:00 pm (event clean-up).

Online Health Sign-up for High School Students
If you are in need of completing your high school health credit, the Spring 2 session of online Health begins March 25. If you would like to be enrolled in this class, you must fill out the form at the link below by Friday March 15. You will be charged an extra $350 on your tuition bill for this class unless you have a study hall, late arrival or early dismissal in your 2018-2019 class schedule. If you took Health in 8th grade here at Faith or have taken Health at Las Vegas Day School, Adelson, Cornerstone, Alexander Dawson, Lake Mead Christian Academy or The Meadows in 7th or 8th grade, your high school Health requirement is already complete and you do not need this class. SAT & ACT Class
In cooperation with Princeton Review, Faith Lutheran is offering Princeton Review's Ultimate combined ACT & SAT course on campus, which includes 25 hours of instruction and 4 full-length diagnostic practice exams on Saturday mornings at 9:00. This course is valued at $1099, but Faith students can take it for only $599. The next available course starts with a practice test on January 26 and will run mostly Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, concluding just before the March SAT and April ACT. The following class will begin with a practice test on April 6 and will run mostly Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, concluding just before the June SAT and June ACT. Exact dates for the classes are listed below. To sign up please fill out the form at this link by by March 22 for the Spring class. On March 21st we are going to have a CRAZY SOCK DAY to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. We ask that you guys wear mismatched colorful socks on Thursday the 21st to appreciate our Mark 10:14 classmates! Spread the word, we want to see colorful socks all around campus! (3/21)

Working together, we beg you not to receive the grace of God in vain. (2 Corinthians 6:1)
In the Name + of Jesus. Amen. Today is the day of salvation—not tomorrow, not just Easter, not the Last Today. Today you are saved. Today you are baptized. Today, everything in heaven on earth is yours.
Jesus is your righteousness. He is your sanctification, your holiness before the Father. Your salvation isn’t a “maybe” or a “possibility.” There’s nothing “iffy” about your eternity in Jesus. In Jesus you must be saved. As surely as Jesus died and rose again for you, you will live forever.
This Gospel is true. It’s unshakable. It is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes it. God cannot lie. Christ lived for you. Christ suffered for you. Christ died for you. Then, on Easter, after His Lent for you and in your place, He rose again for you.
In Jesus you cannot lose your salvation or sin your way out of God’s grace. Nothing—and God means nothing—can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Jesus is in heaven. He’s there to prepare a place for you so that where He is there you will be also. Not “might be there.” Not “if you do this or do that you’ll be there with Him.” In your Baptism, the Absolution spoken by your pastor, and the Body and Blood of Jesus, where He is, you will be, too. It rests all on Jesus.
Don’t despise this Gospel. The Apostle Paul begs you! I beg you, too! Don’t take the grace of God in vain! Don’t trust in what you do, feel, decide, or think. Don’t believe that any part of you can be saved apart from Jesus. You can’t be saved apart from Christ! Don’t trust your works. Don’t deceive yourself into thinking you’re somehow better than unbelievers before God. Apart from Christ, you aren’t. Don’t live in your sins thinking that something you did—like believing—will save you. Don’t even believe in your believing.
Trust Jesus. Repent of your sins and believe that Christ’s holy life and bitter sufferings and death alone save you. Put away the things you’ve trusted in: your works, the amount of faith you have or don’t have, how much you’ve repented, or how many sins you’ve “conquered.” Deny yourself. Take up your cross. Take up the cross of believing that He alone saves you. He alone does and can.
Today is the day of salvation for you. You don’t have to wait for Easter or the Last Day. Today is His Day for you to believe that He died for you. Everything is yours in Jesus—even heaven itself. In the Name + of Jesus. Amen.
