Seniors and your laptops!
ALL senior laptops must be re-imaged. If you do not have your laptop checked and re-imaged by our IT department, you will not receive your diploma! You must have this final re-image done, even if you had the laptop re-imaged recently!
We are thrilled to offer those seniors that have been here at Faith for the full 4 years, the ability to keep your laptop at no charge. We will need to wipe and re-image your laptop (all your information will be gone). We HIGHLY recommend making a backup (using Time Machine or just copy the files important to you). If you do not do that or need help on how to do that, please come to the library and visit the tech support room. If you bring your external drive with you, we will be glad to teach you how to get your data saved from the laptop, but we will NOT backup your data
Also, if you do not want your laptop, consider leaving it with us. We take your old laptop, refurbish it, and donate it to less fortunate schools, churches, shut-ins, elderly, and other organizations. It is a way to bless others. Just let us know at check-in what you would like to do. Last year we had students donate their laptops to help underprivileged and charities! How cool is that? Please consider doing this!
As a senior, can I get my laptop if I have not been here the full 4 years?
Possibly, you might be able to. Students that have been here LESS than 2 years, we will need to see your device to verify age of the laptop. It will depend on the model and year of the laptop. If you decide not to purchase your laptop and return the laptop damaged or missing charger, you will be charged for those repairs.
This offer to purchase your laptop will not be offered to any other grade. This is a way we can bless the seniors.
Q: When you re-image my laptop, will all my photos and files be lost?
A: Yes, if you did not back it up. Unfortunately, we cannot back up the files for you.
Q: When can I get it re-imaged?
A: As soon as you do not need the laptop for classes, please bring it in to re-image.
Once re-imaged, it cannot be on our school network anymore. Let me say another way, once a device is wiped, IT CANNOT BE REATTACHED or CONNECTED TO OUR NETWORK (No wireless access allowed)! No exceptions.
AGAIN! ALL senior laptops must be checked and re-imaged.
If you do not have your laptop checked and re-imaged, by our IT department, you will not receive your diploma, transcripts will be on hold and fees may be assessed.
The school’s laptop is given (for those here the full 4 years) or sold "as is”. There is no warranty with the laptop.

DEVOTIONAL
Shame Based Thinking - Part 2
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22
Shame grows in the dark, but once you expose it to the light of God’s Word, it loses its grip on you. Feelings can be so fickle. And often they’re triggered by everyday things like a familiar song, the mention of someone who hurt you, an anniversary, a birthday, a holiday such as Christmas or Valentine’s Day. That’s why James tells us, ‘Do not merely listen to the word…Do what it says.’ One counsellor writes: ‘Shame can hold us back, hold us down, and keep us staring at our feet…Many systems and people are controlled by it and want us to play their game…Compulsive behaviors, sexually addictive behaviors, overeating, chemical abuse, and addictive gambling are all shame-based behaviors…Our past experiences, and the brainwashing we may have had, put shame on us. “Don’t think…don’t feel…don’t grow or change…don’t feel alive…be ashamed!” Be done with shame! Attack it. Go to war with it. Learn to recognize and avoid it like the plague.’ The Bible says, ‘Who will bring any charge against God’s elect?’ (Romans 8:33). Whether you committed the offence or the offence was committed against you, ‘the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin’ (1 John 1:7). Note the word ‘all’. Instead of talking about how you feel, start talking about what you know! God’s Word, which is God’s opinion of you, is the greatest healing force on earth. So, read it, believe it, speak it, and stand on it. As you do, you’ll begin to rise above your shame-based thinking.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, only in being in You and Your Word do I leave the darkness and come into shame less life! In Jesus’ Name, Amen
