Seniors and your laptops!
ALL senior laptops must be re-imaged. If you do not have your laptop checked and re-imaged by our IT department, you will not receive your diploma! You must have this final re-image done, even if you had the laptop re-imaged recently!
We are thrilled to offer those seniors that have been here at Faith for the full 4 years, the ability to keep your laptop at no charge. We will need to wipe and re-image your laptop (all your information will be gone). We HIGHLY recommend making a backup (using Time Machine or just copy the files important to you). If you do not do that or need help on how to do that, please come to the library and visit the tech support room. If you bring your external drive with you, we will be glad to teach you how to get your data saved from the laptop, but we will NOT backup your data
Also, if you do not want your laptop, consider leaving it with us. We take your old laptop, refurbish it, and donate it to less fortunate schools, churches, shut-ins, elderly, and other organizations. It is a way to bless others. Just let us know at check-in what you would like to do. Last year we had students donate their laptops to help underprivileged and charities! How cool is that? Please consider doing this!
As a senior, can I get my laptop if I have not been here the full 4 years?
Possibly, you might be able to. Students that have been here LESS than 2 years, we will need to see your device to verify age of the laptop. It will depend on the model and year of the laptop. If you decide not to purchase your laptop and return the laptop damaged or missing charger, you will be charged for those repairs.
This offer to purchase your laptop will not be offered to any other grade. This is a way we can bless the seniors.
Q: When you re-image my laptop, will all my photos and files be lost?
A: Yes, if you did not back it up. Unfortunately, we cannot back up the files for you.
Q: When can I get it re-imaged?
A: As soon as you do not need the laptop for classes, please bring it in to re-image.
Once re-imaged, it cannot be on our school network anymore. Let me say another way, once a device is wiped, IT CANNOT BE REATTACHED or CONNECTED TO OUR NETWORK (No wireless access allowed)! No exceptions.
AGAIN! ALL senior laptops must be checked and re-imaged.
If you do not have your laptop checked and re-imaged, by our IT department, you will not receive your diploma, transcripts will be on hold and fees may be assessed.
The school’s laptop is given (for those here the full 4 years) or sold "as is”. There is no warranty with the laptop.

DEVOTIONAL
Put Your Heart and Soul into It
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. Ecclesiastes 9:10
Solomon writes: ‘Seize life!...Each day is God’s gift...Whatever turns up, grab it and do it...heartily! This is your last and only chance at it’ (vv. 7-10). Professor Howard Hendricks writes: ‘Recently I lost one of my best friends, a woman eighty-six years young. She was the most exciting lay-teacher I’ve ever been exposed to. The last time I saw her on planet earth was at one of those “Christian parties” where we all sit on eggshells and try to look pious. In she walked, looked at me and said, “Well, Hendricks, I haven’t seen you for a long time. Tell me, what are the five best books you’ve read in the last year?” (That’ll change the group dynamic in a hurry.) Her philosophy was, “Let’s not bore each other...let’s get into a discussion. And if we can’t find anything to discuss, then let’s get into an argument.” She was eighty-three years old on her last trip to the Holy Land. She went with a group of NFL football players. And one of my most vivid memories is seeing her out in front yelling back to them, “Come on, men, get with it!” Recently she died in her sleep at her daughter’s home. Her daughter told me that just before she died she’d written out her goals for the next ten years!’ So whether you are nineteen or ninety-nine, the word for you today is: ‘Whatever turns up, grab it and do it...heartily.’ In other words: Put your heart and soul into it.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me to put my whole being into what I do and be joyful and excited about it. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
