Attention All Students Taking AP Exams:
The AP Testing Schedule is posted outside the Library, Mrs Washington's office and in your AP Classrooms. Please check for the days and times of your tests. COMMUNITY CRUSADER SERVICE HOURS OPPORTUNITY:
Faith Community's Mission Fundraiser Event, Love Never Fails, is looking for high school student volunteers. Volunteer opportunities include greeting guests, attending tables, explaining special events, and cleaning up.
This event will be held on Saturday, April 14th. Volunteers would be needed from 4:30-7:30 pm and/or from 7:00-9:00 pm. Service hours are available.

"BUN IN THE OVEN!" Every Monday and Friday in March and April, cinnamon buns will be sold outside the library near the amphitheater in support of the Charity of the Month: First Choice Pregnancy Services. First Choice Pregnancy Services is a Christian mission that reaches out and provides life-affirming services to women vulnerable to abortion in the Las Vegas Valley. Please support this great cause and help save a baby's life!
COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS OPPORTUNITY:
Miracle League is a baseball league that allows children and adults of all ages with various degrees of disabilities to play baseball. Volunteers are “buddies” for the players or anything else Miracle League needs to help the games run smoothly. You must sign up at www.miracleleaguelasvegas.com/volunteer

ATTENTION 7th Graders:
Please check your email to see if your GPA has qualified you to apply for membership into National Junior Honor Society. Mrs. Grant has sent five emails so far but has yet to hear from several of you. See Mrs. Grant in room 224 if you have any questions.
ATTN: 7th GRADERS WHO ARE APPLYING TO NJHS
NJHS applications are due to Mrs. Grant in room 224 no later than Wednesday, April 18 at 3:15 p.m. Late applications will not be excepted. If you did not get an email regarding NJHS Applications but believe your cumulative GPA is 3.8 or above, see Mrs. Grant or email her ASAP.
Attention parents of 6th and 7th graders:
The math department at Faith Lutheran Middle School is offering two opportunities for students to take a test to possibly advance in mathematics for the 2018-2019 school year. Your student would be eligible to test if he/she is currently:
- 1. a 6th grader in Math 2 who would like to advance to Algebra 1 for his/her 7th grade year.
2. a 6th grader in Math 2A who would like to advance to Pre-Algebra for his/her 7th grade year.
3. a 7th grader in Math 2B who would like to advance to Algebra 1 for his/her 8th grade year.
The test will be offered only on these two dates:
Tuesday, April 10, 7:30 am (room 218)
Wednesday, April 11, 3:15 pm (room 218)
If your child wants to take this test, they need to sign up with their math teacher by Wednesday, April 4. A letter will be sent home with your child for you to sign, saying that they will be taking the advanced math test and indicating which date they will do so.

Already Overcome
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Revelation 12:11
Jesus defeated Satan at the cross. And His victory is also our victory. His authority is also our authority. We must acknowledge the existence of the devil, but shouldn’t be afraid of him. The Bible says: ‘the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world’ (1 John 4:4). And God’s spirit is within us. ‘Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?’ (1 Corinthians 3:16). God is greater than Satan, He’s more powerful and He’s already been ultimately victorious. And we’ve got God on our side. ‘If God is for us, no one can defeat us’ (Romans 8:31). God’s given us the key to overcoming Satan’s power in our lives: ‘And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.’ When we understand that Jesus’ death means we’ve been given authority over Satan, and we’ve been given victory and the promise of eternal life, the devil’s schemes won’t affect us in the same way. And when we share our testimony, or our story about how God’s worked in our life, we build up our faith. Remembering what God’s done for us helps us to trust Him and to believe that He’s faithful. So, when we feel like we’ve come under attack from the devil, we can know that we can rely on God to bring us through, just like every other time. However strong the attack may feel, we can overcome it when we remember that we’ve already been given the victory and we’ve got a trustworthy, faithful and good God with us every step of the way.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us the victory over Satan because of Your victory. Help me rely on Your strength and not my own. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
