Las Vegas Day School posted a 39-0 win over the Faith B Team. An unfortunate night, in many ways. Nonetheless, we chalk it up to experience and look forward to our next game vs Mountain View Christian School on Tuesday of next week and The Crusader Clash on Wednesday.
TOTAL Team (As in, 15 of Us) Effort as Crusaders Down Eagles 30-26
Once a year we choose one game for both the 6th Grade A and B teams to come together and play as one unit, and today was that game for the 2019 contingent. It ended up being prescient planning, as we were missing no less than three A team members due to illness, and the B team players did simply EXCELLENT work in helping this unified team to a four point win over New Horizons Academy.
Crusaders Continue to Improve but drop this one to Meadows, 18-6
The Crusaders fought hard but could not recover from a rough start and dropped an 18-6 decision at The Meadows. There were many highlights, and the continued improvement is clear to all who watch this team.
Crusaders Win 2nd Half - Come up a Basket Short Overall as Bears Win 15-13
In what was the best performance of the season for the B Team, great progress was made, the team had its highest scoring output of the season, every girl took a shot, and six of the girls soored. Fun to watch the progress of this octet and we know more good things are coming.
Outscored, But Undeterred = Crusaders Fight for 24 Minutes!
The Crusaders started RRAC play off with a tough one, taking on a talented Las Vegas Day School team in the Scorpions Den, and while they did come away with a loss on the scoreboard, many small victories happened along the way, and the girls continue to trust the process and improve.
Crusaders Rally Falls Short, Drop Opener to Dawson
The Crusaders started the season with a non conference game against Dawson and there were a lot of highlights for the girls to build on as the season continues. Dawson did earn the victory by a 10-6 tally, holding off a fierce Faith fourth quarter rally.
Sometimes, when an opponent is just having one of those nights, there isnt much you can do, and that was the case for the Crusaders in this one as a close game at half was blown open in the second half when Las Vegas Day School made FIVE three point baskets en route to a 29-8 win.
Under the direction of a new addition to the Crusader Hoops coaching staff, Angel Walsh, the eight members of the 6th Grade Girls Basketball team are excited for the journey that will be the 2019 season.
