Faith A Teams Each Post Wins over Becker
Faith A Team started off a busy week with two wins today, as the Girls defeated Becker Middle School by a 5-0 count and the Boys won 4-1 despite missing two players. It was a good day and keeps both teams on pace to qualify for the team championship on May 2nd.
The Boys got wins from Grey in singles, and other wins from Carlin, Jason, Taylor, Eleigh, Liam, and Andrew in various roles, with Blake stepping up and playing first singles but dropping a very tight, and well played set. It is a great sign when the team can step up and play well when called upon in different roles.
The Girls were also missing one of their top singles players and yet still came away with a convincing 5-0 win. Eleni stepped up to the #1 spot and delivered a 6-0 win while our sixth grade A Team members Mia and Rachel also posted singles wins. Ashley Y and Megan won thier doubles match together, as did the Power/Control combo of Paige and Ava. Breanna, Jessica, Sarah and Gabby saw action in the extra round.
Both teams have two more matches this week.
