New Student Admission

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Faith Family!  Our office is here to serve you and help you see if our school is the right fit for you.  Please follow the steps below for the Middle School, High School, or Transfer admissions process.  If you have any questions, please contact us at admissions@flhsemail.org or 702-804-4413.

ADMISSIONS OFFICE DURING SCHOOL CLOSURE

During our school closure, the Admissions office is still open and running and will utilize phone and video meeting platforms! We are available Monday-Friday from 8:00a-3:30p.   As the situation changes, we will continue to update families and serve to the best of our ability. 
  • All shadow days that have been previously scheduled until the end of April have been cancelled. 
  • Campus Tours
  • Interviews and admissions meetings
    • All interviews will be done by phone or video chat using platforms such as Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, or Google Hangouts.  If you would like to schedule a video meeting, please email us at admissions@flhsemail.org and we can meet and answer any questions you might have!
  • The March 28th Admissions exam and the April 28th Math Retest have been cancelled
    • At this time, open student applications will be evaluated based on grades, standardized test scores, recommendations, and the interview.  The interview is still required and can be scheduled through your checklist once all supporting documents are turned in. The admissions office reserves the right to request applicants to take the admissions exam at a later time if academic standards are not met based on current grades and standardized test scores.  The required Math Placement Test and optional Math Retest will be scheduled for a later date in May. 
  • New Family Welcome Night for enrolled families that is currently scheduled for April 22nd is cancelled at this point in time and will be rescheduled at a later date in May.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ADMISSIONS

  • 1. SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

    Create an account with Crusader Connect by clicking here.  A non-refundable $50 application fee is required.  After submitting your application, a Checklist will be available within 48 hours for the remaining requirements of the application process.  Please check your Parent Crusader often.  Please note that both 2020-2021 Applications are an option.  If you are applying for 2019-2020, please contact admissions before applying.
  • 2. SUBMIT REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND REGISTER FOR TESTING DAY

    Gather birth certificate, immunization records, copy of most recent transcript, and standardized test scores. Send Faith provided recommendation forms to administrators and teachers from checklist.  Please wait until students have grades up to November of the current school year before uploading a report card. 

    Register for a Testing Day through your Checklist.  For First Decision Pool consideration, register for December testing. For Second Decision Pool consideration, register for January/February testing.  Students will test in Reading Comprehension and Mathematics. Testing will be mailed to out of state applicants. Details, dates and times are on the Checklist.
  • 3. SUBMIT TUITION ASSISTANCE APPLICATION

    Faith Lutheran offers need-based tuition assistance through FACTS.  For more information, click here (link to FA page). The application deadline is April 1st.  

    Faith Lutheran accepts funds from the Nevada Choice Opportunity Scholarships.  For more information, click here (link to pdf/state site)
  • 4. INTERVIEW

    Once the application/supporting documents are submitted and testing is complete and graded, the admissions office will contact families to schedule an interview with the prospective student.

    An interview will not be extended unless all required documents and testing has been completed.

    Video interviews are scheduled for out of state applicants.
  • 5. ADMISSIONS DECISION

    An admissions decision will be posted on your Crusader Connect account Decision tab.  1st Decision Pool is posted at 4:00 PM on February 1st. 2nd Decision Pool is on March 1st at 4:00 PM.

    Electronically sign and submit Contract ($1000 registration and activity fee)

    Admissions Testing will be required at the discretion of the Admissions Team. Typically a student with Ds or Fs on the transcript will be required to take an entrance exam. The prospective family will be notified once a transcript is submitted.
