  • BOYS BASKETBALL: Nic Maccioni helps Faith Lutheran coach Bret Walter win 300th career game

    Nic Maccioni had 26 points, and Faith Lutheran’s boys basketball team pulled away in the second half for a 77-55 home victory over Legacy on Wednesday.
    It was the 300th career victory for Crusaders coach Bret Walter, who is 300-225 in his 20th season at the school.

    Connor Nichols and Brevin Walter each scored 14 points for Faith Lutheran.
    The Crusaders outscored Legacy 24-11 in the third quarter to extend a 37-31 halftime lead.

    Chris White had 12 points, and D’Eric Marlowe added 11 points for the Longhorns.

  • BOYS BASKETBALL: Nic Maccioni scores 24 to lead Crusaders over Aggies

    Nic Maccioni had 24 points Wednesday to lead Faith Lutheran’s boys basketball team to to a 90-79 road victory over Arbor View.  Jaylen Fox scored 23 for the Crusaders, who made seven 3-pointers. Brevin Walter added 19 points, and teammate Elijah Kothe had 18 points for Faith Lutheran.
    Jarrod Brooks led Arbor View with 16 points. Lucas Lawrence and Palmer Adams each supplied 11 points for the Aggies.

  • Nic Maccioni makes dazzling debut for Faith Lutheran

    Nic Maccioni had to wait a bit longer than most to make his varsity basketball debut.  The Faith Lutheran senior made the most of his opportunity Tuesday night.
    Maccioni had 28 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Crusaders to a 71-64 road win over Sierra Vista in the season opener for both teams.   FULL ARTICLE

    Connor Bourne

    Bourne took 1st at the Pine View Invitational and was named outstanding wrestler of the tournament last week.

    Maddie Bocobo

    Maddie led her team in scoring vs. conference opponent Legacy hitting 6 of her 14 in the 4th quarter and shooting 100% from the FT line to help her team to a 5 point victory. She also led her team in scoring vs. Clark with 14 points shooting 67% from the 3 point line.

Tradition of Excellence

Faith Lutheran boasts a proud tradition in athletics. Our teams have earned 42 State Championships and 33 State Runner-Up banners in our school’s history. We have won the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association’s Award of Excellence in Academics, Athletics, and Citizenship an impressive six times. Currently, former Crusader athletes can be found on teams at The Naval Academy, USC, University of Kansas, Auburn, LSU, Duke, Boise State, Princeton, University of Minnesota, Northern Arizona, Denver University and Concordia University to name a few. Our athletics program is constantly growing and improving, boasting a state of the art strength and conditioning center to help our hundreds of student athletes accomplish even more.
