Program Overview
How good is good enough? In making your car decision, some will elect a Hyundai when a Lexus is available. In making a restaurant choice, some will choose McDonald’s over Delmonico’s. But when it comes to education, we cannot afford to short-change our students. Our goal at Faith is to provide a world-class education, not one that is simply better than what is locally available.
We believe that student access to technology is a critical component of such an education. For several years, Faith has provided an improving student to computer ratio. With the introduction of the one-to one-laptop program, we are making progress toward providing our students with the very best tools to learn and grow.
When asked what outcome I wanted as a result of the one-to-one program, my answer was quick and straight forward: I want technology to be the lever for classroom instruction that is more student centered, collaborative, project-based and focused on higher order thinking skills.
We are excited to begin this journey, which undoubtedly will be a learning process for students, parents, teachers and administrators. Mid-course corrections are inevitable and we will be looking for continued input on the path we’ve chosen. But it’s time to get started!
