Program Overview

How good is good enough?  In making your car decision, some will elect a Hyundai when a Lexus is available.  In making a restaurant choice, some will choose McDonald’s over Delmonico’s.  But when it comes to education, we cannot afford to short-change our students.  Our goal at Faith is to provide a world-class education, not one that is simply better than what is locally available.

We believe that student access to technology is a critical component of such an education.  For several years, Faith has provided an improving student to computer ratio.  With the introduction of the one-to one-laptop program, we are making progress toward providing our students with the very best tools to learn and grow.

When asked what outcome I wanted as a result of the one-to-one program, my answer was quick and straight forward: I want technology to be the lever for classroom instruction that is more student centered, collaborative, project-based and focused on higher order thinking skills.

We are excited to begin this journey, which undoubtedly will be a learning process for students, parents, teachers and administrators.  Mid-course corrections are inevitable and we will be looking for continued input on the path we’ve chosen.  But it’s time to get started!

Update for Families Attending Laptop Distribution on Wednesday, August 12

We apologize for the server issues we experienced, but our server issues have been resolved. To be able to log on to your machine as yourself you need to do one of two things:

1. Come to one of the next two nights and we will run a special session at the beginning (10 AM Saturday, 7 PM Wednesday) to finish the part of the setup that we did not complete. We will meet in the library.

2. Watch for a tutorial to be posted on this website to complete the setup on your own. The tutorial will be posted on the morning of August 20th. You will have to be on campus to make the first login and complete the tutorial.
