Anita knew she wanted to be an attorney after interning for an attorney while attending college at the University of California, San Diego. It was a great experience for her and it set her on the path to law school. Anita attended law school at the University of San Diego where she was invited to become a member of the Law Review based upon her writing ability. After law school Anita moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Anita opened her own law firm where she practices exclusively in the area of Family Law.

Anita is married to Chris and they have two children, Zachary, who is in the 7th grade and attends Faith Lutheran Jr./Sr., High School, and Zoie, who is in the 4th grade and attends Faith Lutheran Academy. Both children love their schools. Chris and Anita appreciate Faith’s emphasis on having the students become proficient in the use of computers. In addition to the great academic programs at Faith, Chris and Anita are also impressed with Faith’s emphasis on being a caring person. Among one of the first assignments Zachary had in the 6th grade at Faith was to write about how he could be a better person. Faith also has great extra curricular activities. Zachary is involved in soccer, the Computer Club and the Future Cities Project. Zoie enjoys taking dance and musical theater at her school.

Anita and her family enjoy hiking, traveling, watching movies and playing with their puppy.

Anita has taught Family Law courses to other attorneys and authored or co- authored articles including Tax Aspects of Divorce in Nevada; Effective Family Law Practice in Nevada; Equitable Distribution in Divorce Settlements in Nevada: Valuation, Tax and Other Issues, Dividing Assets and Debt; Negotiating the Best Possible Settlement For Divorce Clients; and Understanding Child Support Issues in Nevada. Anita has received training in mediation and collaborative law and has acted as a court appointed mediator as well as an arbitrator. Anita successfully argued a case of first impression at the Nevada Supreme Court regarding a custodial parent’s request to move out of the country. .
